Eggs to Chicks

This half term we have been learning about Spring and all the wonderful things that happen during Spring. We have been learning about 'change' and how lots of animals may be born at Spring time. We have found this fascinating and have enjoyed learning the names of the different baby animals. 

We had a very exciting delivery of eggs. We talked about what may be inside the eggs and made lots of curious predictions. Every day, we watched in awe as the eggs began to crack. We were so excited when we discovered that baby chicks were inside the eggs. 

We took care of the eggs and made sure the chicks were safe and happy. 

When the chicks were fluffy enough, we moved them to a bigger box. Every day, we had to feed them, water them and clean the box out. 

We learnt lots of facts about the chicks. We even got the opportunity to hold a baby chick. We were so brave.
